Tushar Gitaye, started his diving carrier at PTKS in 1998. As he was a national champion in Mallakhamb Dr. Ramesh Prabhoo honoured him by offering a membership at PTKS. He started using swimming & diving facilities regularly and his interest in diving started increasing. He also entered the competitive world of diving.
Tushar Learned his basic as well as competitive diving at Prabodhankar Thakare Sports Complex. Since 1999 started participating in diving tournaments from PTKS and Won several medals at district,state & national level diving tournaments. He also has titles at schools, Universities as well as junior & senior level competitions.
He represented India in the 8th Asian Championships in 2009 at China & secured 6th position in Highboard diving event.
He Represents Western Railways & Indian Railways at professional diving meets, since 2006 and has been 5 times Sr. National Diving Champion in High board diving event.
He has secured 1st position at the 33rd National Games in 2007 & 2nd position at 35thNational Games in 2015.
He started his sports carrier with truly Indian sport Mallakhamb. At the age of 10 years he started practicing mallakhamb & also won several titles . Later he started to learn basic lessons of diving at Prabodhankar sports complex. And since 2012 he is a diving coaching at Prabodhankar sports complex, Providing basic as well as competitive training of spring board & platform diving.
